On Tuesday, October 22, BREC held a ribbon cutting at the newly opened Frenchtown Road Conservation Area.  BREC has designated this park a Wilderness Area, meaning they are trying to bring it back to its natural state by minimizing human impact.  It features 496 acres of natural forest, 2.4 miles of Amite River shoreline, 1.6 miles of Comite River shoreline, and it currently has 3.5 miles of trails with more to come.
