Galilee Baptist Church on Hwy. 64 celebrated their 135th Anniversery Homecoming on Sunday, October 3. Special music was delivered by Toni Black, Gladys Hunt, Diane Acosta, Jimmy Felker and the GBC Praise Team. The celebration included fellowship, worship, music by Lisa Smith and a home cooked meal afterwards. Members and visitors rejoiced and enjoyed the heartwarming and emotional service by Pastor Ron Lowery. He preached about running the race of life and how each and everyone of us are unique in our own race. The standing room only congregation gathered in the gym afterwards to enjoy the delicious food brought by members of the church. The Deacon of the Week, Garland Watts was announced at the church service and is available for ministry needs, prayer or to communicate needs to the church staff.  His number is 261-4797. The Family Fall Festival will be held on Wednesday, October 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information you can contact the church at 654-5633 or send an email to [email protected].
