City Council Races Expand

With qualifying for Central’s elections just a week away, several more City Council candidates have entered the race. Five Council Members will be elected in Districts and two At-Large are elected city-wide. Official qualifying is July 18-20. Here is the unofficial list of candidates for all city offices.
Mayor: David Barrow vs incumbent Junior Shelton
Chief of Police: Roger Corcoran vs incumbent James Salsbury
Council District 1: Charlie Habig vs Aaron Moak
District 2: Joshua Roy vs incumbent John Vance
District 3: Dave Freneaux vs incumbent Kim Fralick
District 4: Marcella French vs D’Ann Wells
District 5: Briton Myer vs Charles Lee Hinton
At Large (two are elected): Wade Evans, Aaron McKinney, Ryan Meador, and incumbent Wayne Messina. Jeffrey Meyers states he is considering running At Large.
Election day is November 6, 2018.
