In Memoriam: Martha “Aunt Martha” (White) Bergeron

    "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Martha White Bergeron passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at the age of 79. She was a native and resident of Central. She retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court. Visitation was held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Blackwater United Methodist Church, 10000 Blackwater Road, Baker, LA. Her Godson Rev. Eric Devall conducted funeral services, and a private burial service followed. She is survived by her son, Michael Bergeron and wife Jackie, daughter Carol Lynne Bergeron and fiancé Glen "Bubba" Jenkins, eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and sister Dottie Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband L.J. Bergeron, parents, Evans and Lizzie White, son Mitchell Bergeron, two brothers, five sisters, and her companion Jake Sessions. Pallbearers were Ronnie Devall, Bobby Dale Callender, Sr., David Hunt, Brent Carpenter, Bryan White, Bodi White, and Scooter Davis. The family would like to thank her many special friends and relatives for their love and support.
