By  |

From EBR Parish Library
Researchers at Louisiana State University (LSU) are conducting a study on the Great Flood of 2016. LSU Psychology professors, Katie Cherry, Matt Calamia and Emily Elliott are seeking research participants to take part in this study. With a goal to understand how disaster stress impacts memory, health and daily life, study participants will complete paper and pencil surveys and computer tasks. Adults ages 18 and older who live in East Baton Rouge, Livingston and Ascension parishes are eligible to participate. The research team is in need of people who flooded, as well as people from neighborhoods that flooded or who had friends and family who flooded, but who did not personally have flood damage to their homes or property. The research team also would like to hear from people who lost homes in the 2005 Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and relocated permanently to the greater Baton Rouge area.
