Two Arrested for Wal Mart Thefts

KM_C224e-20150805092959    An EBRSO Deputy was dispatched to the Central Wal Mart on July 31 when a Wal Mart employee witnessed Jeffery St. Romain putting rewritable CDs in his pocket.  St. Romain was then seen passing the registers with the CDs and some other items in his cart without paying.  The items totaled $43.61.  The accused, after being read his rights, said he knew it was wrong to take the items, and he now feels bad for his actions.  The complainant said that St. Romain had been caught, according to the Wal Mart system, stealing from Wal Mart in the past.  St. Romain was charged with Theft of Goods.

 

 

KM_C224e-20150805092959    On August 1, John Brown was seen on Wal Mart surveillance removing hair clippers from the packaging and putting them in his pants.  The accused then went to his vehicle without paying.  EBRSO contacted Brown, took him into custody, and read him his rights.  After that, the accused said he did take the clippers.  However, Brown refused to provide his date of birth.  It was then confirmed by EBRSO that Brown has had four previous convictions for theft.  He was transported to EBR Parish Prison and charged with Theft of Goods and Resisting an Officer.
