CHS Graduate Completes Ph.D. at Harvard University

BootyGradB    Matt Booty, class of 2002 valedictorian, completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University in Cell and Molecular Biology before accepting a 2-year internship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). After publishing in the New England Journal of Medicine while at the NIH, Matt was accepted into Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Upon completing his research and defending his dissertation titled “Regulation of Effector CD8+ T Cells During Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Infection”, Matt received his Ph.D. from Harvard Medical School, Division of Medical Sciences, in Immunology. Pictured with his proud parents, and long-time Central residents, Greg and Suzanne Harrison-Booty.
     The family would like to thank all of the truly exceptional teachers in the Central Community School System for the education afforded to Matt!
