CPS Alumnus Earns Doctor of Pharmacy Degree

Elliott-AmedeeB    Auburn University’s James I. Harrison School of Pharmacy held its Spring 2015 commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 12 at Auburn Arena.
    The class of 142 included 133 students receiving the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree. Two students were awarded Master of Science (M.S.) degrees while seven Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees were given.
     The class included representatives from eight foreign countries (Canada, China, Germany, India, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Thailand) and 11 states, including Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
     Among the Pharm.D. graduates was Baker, Louisiana native Elliott Lee Amedee. A 2000 graduate of Central Private High School, he is the son of Melva Amedee. He earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from LSU in 2005.
     Amedee is currently seeking full-time employment as a retail/community pharmacist in the Greater Baton Rouge area.
