Blackwater Youth Group to Host “Sleep-Out”

By  |

From Blackwater UMC
On March 27, 2015 Youth Oasis Children’s Shelter in Baton Rouge will host a “Sleep-Out”. This event will feature members of our Baton Rouge community who will be sleeping outdoors to raise money for Youth Oasis as well as raise awareness of our growing population of at-risk youth in Baton Rouge. Without your help, statistics show that many at-risk youth eventually find themselves living a life of homelessness.
Blackwater UMC youth group has organized a “Sleep- Out” on our campus that evening from 8:00 pm – 8:00am for youth groups in the area that would like to join us.. The youth groups will camp out in the back field at Blackwater United Methodist Church  in cardboard boxes. Each camper should set a goal of fundraising at least $50.00 each, by having someone sponsor their box they are sleeping in for the night.
If you are interested in sponsoring a box or making a donation online, you can do so here:  http://www.razoo.com/story/Baton-Rouge-District-United-Methodist-Youth-Groups-Fundraising-For-Sleep-Out-2015
If you would like to mail in a donation, please do so to 10000 Blackwater Rd, Central, LA 70714
