EBRSO Arrests Credit Card Thief

Samuel Keith O'Neil was taken into custody by EBRSO on February 19 for a theft committed at Bellingrath Hills Elementary School. O'Neil was at the school on February 12 to attend a performance by the students. He left the cafeteria during the performance and was seen on security footage trying to open doors to unoccupied classrooms. O'Neil found one of the doors unlocked, and he entered the classroom, located a teacher's purse inside of a closet, and removed her wallet without consent. After stealing the wallet, O'Neil made several unauthorized transactions at nearby stores with the victim's credit card. He also attempted to withdraw funds after making those purchases, but the withdrawal was declined. O'Neil has admitted to stealing the credit card from the victim's purse and using it to make purchases. He was booked into EBR Parish Prison and charged accordingly.
