In Memoriam: Harold “Hal” LaBorde

Harold central obitBHarold “Hal” LaBorde, age 61, went to God Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home in Spring, TX.  Hal was a 1971 graduate of Central High School.  He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tanya, one son, John Paul and wife Stephanie and granddaughter Rylan and one daughter, Tess Gloria.  Hal was born in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Phillip and Maggie Laborde.  He is survived by his brother and best friend, Donald Laborde, and two sisters, Ginger Laborde Conrad and husband Tony, and Becky Laborde Brown and husband, John.   Hal is survived by four nephews and two nieces: Jimmy and Mark (Conrad) Cannariato, Rochelle and Ryan Bravata, Breahna Luera-Tulllock and Kenneth Peacock III.
    Hal had an excellent speaking voice which he happily applied to a career as a disc jockey for radio stations in Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee. He also had an advertising career spanning more than 25 years at ACB, Advo, MediaLink, and a successful sales career.  He was an avid sports fan – devoted to the LSU Tigers, the Green Bay Packers, and Manchester United Football.
    For Hal, family was not just the center of his universe, it was his entire universe. We know that he would want to say thank you for the many ways that all of you have touched his life.
