Open House for New Radiation Oncology Center

ROC entranceB    Lane Regional Medical Center and Baton Rouge General Medical Center have partnered to bring expert cancer care closer to the families in the region.  
    Please join us as we cut the ribbon to officially open the new $4.5 million Radiation Oncology Center on Thursday, March 13, at 4 p.m., 6180 Main Street, suite B. The Community Open House is from 4-6 p.m. featuring food and refreshments, tours of the facility and equipment demonstrations.  
    Bringing together the strength of a nationally recognized comprehensive cancer program and led by cancer treatment experts Dr. William Russell and Dr. Andrew Lauve, the first patients were seen on Tuesday, February 25th.
    Radiation oncology is the use of high energy radiation to control, shrink or kill cancerous cells, and is often used as a curative or controlling treatment, usually in combination with surgery and/or chemotherapy.
