St. Alphonsus Collecting Baby Items to Help Gulf Coast Families
Catholic Charities is asking for our help for Gulf Coast families experiencing hardships due to loss of work and wages from the BP oil spill. A small grant was made by BP, but those funds were depleted quickly. Other emergency relief, such as food vouchers, cannot be used for baby items. By supplying baby goods, affected families can focus their unspent dollars and assistance on other essential living expenses such as housing and food.
ONLY the following items are needed: Diapers, Pull Ups, Formula, Baby Wipes
Items should be expressly manufactured for use or consumption by infants and babies up to 24 months. Do not bring baby food as that is covered by food vouchers. No clothing, please. Collection boxes will be in the St. Alphonsus Gathering Space this weekend (June 19/20).
