CHS Required Summer Reading

The following books are required summer reading for Central High School students entering these honors courses. The books should be read completely before the first day of school.

English I H: The Giver by Lois Lowry and Speak by
Laurie Halse Anderson
English II H: The Book Thief* by Markus Zusak
English III AP: Their Eyes Were Watching God* by Zora Neale Hurston
English IV AP: The Poisonwood Bible* by Barbara Kingsolver
*Students going into English III AP and English IV AP will be required to have their own copies of these books in their possession on the first day of class!
