Central Community Assistance Foundation Meeting

By  |

On February 25th many of our community members attended a meeting to support Central's Families-in-Transition.  (You can find more information about February's meeting HERE.)  Support has grown and as a result of greater participation; we have decided to form our own Foundation.  A steering committee was selected to develop the by-laws and create the articles of incorporation.  The foundation will be called Central Community Assistance Foundation (CCAF) and will serve the children (all students in any Central schools) and their families who a) reside within the city of Central and/or the boundaries of the Central school district and b) are in need of assistance due to economic hardship.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 22nd at 4:00 pm at Blackwater Methodist Church for our next meeting.  The normal morning time was changed to afternoon to accommodate  those of you who have asked to come but could not because of work.
The goal of the April 22nd meeting is to determine the various committee leaders and their team.  We need your help and/or leadership on one of the following committees:
1) Crisis/emergency
2) Clothing
3) Metal/physical/spiritual health
4) Mentoring
5) Finance
6) Fund Raising
7) Food
8) Communication
9) Policies and procedures
IF you can help or lead any of these committees, please attend.  Our Students (and their families) are CENTRAL!  As the 12th largest city in Louisiana, we have a great need to help our own.  Please be a part of this great effort.
Thanks so much.
