Central Teachers of the Year

By  |

The Central Community School System announced the Teachers of the Year last night at the School Board meeting at Central High. One teacher was selected from each school as the winner. The Teacher of the Year award is sponsored by Capitol One, Ross Tire and JaniKing, all of which contributed to gifts for the winners. Mlissa Guibeau of Central Florist also worked hard to help honor our teachers. She collected lots of coupons and git items from Central businesses to present to the winning teachers as a thank you for their hard work.

The winning teachers are as follows:

Dana Russell (Bellingrath Hills Elementary)

Amanda Bourgeois (Tanglewood Elementary)

Judith Lindsey (Central Intermediate)

Lynette Long (Central Middle)

Lynn Younger (Central High).

Three of these teachers will be advancing to the state level. At state, only one teacher each from elementary, middle, and high school can represent or school district. Dana Russell from Bellingrath was chosen to represent our elementary teachers at the state competition.

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to ALL of our teachers who work so hard and give so much to their students.
