Candidate Forum Video

By  |

Tuesday, March 16 was the Candidates Forum in the Central High School theater. Sponsored by the Central Community Alliance in partnership with the Central Chamber of Commerce, the event featured the candidates running in the March 27 Central election. All candidates were invited to come give opening statements and answer questions at this public forum.

Each candidate was allotted five minutes total: 1 minute for an opening statement, and 2 minutes each to answer the 2 questions asked by Ron Erickson, Chamber President and the moderator for the night. These 2 questions were identical for each candidate running for the same position. Candidates waited in the gym until their turn to speak to the public so that candidates could not hear each other’s answers to the questions. Candidates running for each position drew numbers to determine the order in which they would be invited to speak. After the official forum, all of the candidates were invited to stay for a time of visiting with the public.
