ART LEAGUE OF CENTRAL TO HOLD FIRST ART SHOW

The Art League of Central will hold it’s first art show at the Central Branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library.  The show is entitled “Scenes of Central” and will open on March 1st and run through the month.  Original pencil, ink, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings along with original photography will be exhibited, .Come see what your neighbors are up to!

The Art League of Central is an organization created to encourage and educate visual artists, provide opportunities for the exhibition of their art and educate the public on the value of art for the vitality and quality of life in our community.  We invite any and all interested in the visual arts to participate.  All skill and experience levels are welcomed.  The League meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month, at 9:30 a.m. and at 6:30 p.m. (for those who prefer evenings) at Freneaux Fine Art Studio, 8857-C Sullivan Road, directly next to the Central Family Fitness Gym and behind Sullivan Hardware.  Opportunities for critiques or to work on current pieces, participate in workshops, and plan upcoming events such as exhibits and trips to museums occur at these monthly meetings.
