Even though these are not in Central, we hope this helps you while traveling around Baton Rouge.
A red light camera will be activated on Lobdell Ave southbound at Florida Blvd in the coming weeks.

Five new cameras have just been activated:
  • Westbound Corporate Blvd at College Dr
  • Sherwood Forest at North Harrell’s Ferry Road both approaches
  • Northbound Sherwood Forest at Coursey Blvd
  • Westbound Coursey Blvd at Sherwood Forest
Cameras will be activated at these intersections in coming weeks:
  • Southbound College Drive at Interstate 10.
  • Westbound I-10 exit at College Drive.
  • Westbound I-10 exit at Essen Lane.
  • Northbound College Drive at Perkins Road..
  • Northbound Airline Highway at Goodwood Boulevard.
  • Northbound Essen Lane at Hennessy Boulevard.
  • Southbound Lobdell Avenue at Florida Boulevard.
  • Northbound Nicholson Drive at Burbank Drive.
  • Northbound Sherwood Forest Boulevard at Florida Boulevard.
  • Southbound Sherwood Forest Boulevard at Florida Boulevard.
  • Eastbound Florida Boulevard at Sherwood Forest Boulevard.

DO NOT stop across the white “stop” line. If you stop across the white line even though you’ve STOPPED – the camera will still take your picture. The fine is $117.00.

DO NOT try to beat the yellow caution light. STOP when the caution light comes on and STOP before you get to the white line. The white line applies to all of these intersections.
If you see a flash go off in your rear view mirror it only means one thing – they got you. Your traffic violation will be mailed to you within the week.
