CCSS School Board Meeting Tonight

The School Board will meet on Monday, October 9, 2017 in the Meeting Room of the Central Administrative Office, located at 10510 Joor Road, Suite 300,beginning at 6:00 P.M. The meeting is open to the public.

5. To consider approval of the minutes from the Regular School Board Meeting held on Monday, September 25, 2017 and take appropriate action.
6. To consider the Superintendent's Recommendation for administrative, instructional and support staff positions and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)
7. To consider a 2nd Reading of the following Revised Policies of the Central Community School System Policy Manual:
a. Policy H-3.5a – Corporal Punishment
b. Policy H-3.6b – Administration of Medication
8. To consider revisions to the Procedures for Accepting Applications and the Interview Process for the position of Superintendent of the Central Community School System. (Mr. Faulk)
9. To consider approval of a Resolution to authorize the Superintendent to establish a credit card account on behalf of the Central Community School System and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)
10. To consider approval of engagement letters from Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)
11. To consider approval of a list of Qualified Disciplinary Hearing Officers and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)
12. To consider adjusting the schedule of board meetings for the month of October. (Mr. Faulk)

a. October 11th – Facilities/Equipment Committee Meeting
b. October 16th – The Chair of the Human Resources/Policies Committee and Board President will receive submitted applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools. All board members will receive copies of the submitted application packets of all candidates.
c. The Chair of the HR/Policies Committee and the HR Director will review the applications and determine qualified and unqualified applicants.
d. October 18th – The board will hold a special meeting to announce candidates who will be interviewed and set the dates and times for interviews to be conducted.
e. October 20th – Parent/Teacher Conferences. There will be no school for students. Central Office and school offices will be open.
f. October 23rd – Fall Break. There will be no school for students and teachers. Central Office and school offices will be open.
