CP Baseball Update
The Central Private Rebels continued play at the Silliman Invitational with a 5-1 victory over the Bowling Green Buccaneers.
The Rebels rallied for two runs in the top of the first after two outs. Thomas Bourgeois and Brennan Courville both scored after passed balls.
Logan Lewis, Bourgeois, and Courville pushed the lead to 5-0 in the top of the third. Courville provided the blow that scored Lewis and Bourgeois. The Bucs scored their lone run in the bottom of the fourth with Cash Cooley scoring on a single by Jake Tate.
Gage Wilkinson picked up his first win of the young season pitching 2 innings of no hit baseball and striking out four. Ridge Perkins also threw 2 no hit innings and struck out four. Stephen Tate got his first save of the year striking out 2 in the fifth inning and completing the no hit effort by the Rebel pitchers.
