October 2014 Building Permits

    During the month of October 2014 in the city of Central, a total of 19 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $4,583,050.  A total of 127 new residential permits have been issued so far in 2014.
    Within these permits, eleven were issued in Woodstock with an average valuation of $228,397; one in Bellingrath Lakes valued at $221,278; one on McCullough Rd valued at $211,272; one on Rolling Oaks Ave valued at $315,084; one in Village Lakes valued at $244,616; one on Droze Rd valued at $302,470; and three in Village at Magnolia Square with an average valuation of $258,652.
    Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.
    On the commercial side, permits were applied for a commercial addition at 15223 Hooper Rd, a new AT&T cell tower at 14485 Greenwell Springs Rd behind Oak Point; and a 2,186 sq. ft remodeling project at 14409 Wax Rd Ste B&C.
