CENTRAL DOMINATES JAMBOREE AGAINST BROADMOOR AND REDEMPTORIST; GARRETSON ROLLS A PERFECT GAME

Central High finished their preseason with a convincing victory, a 3-Team Jamboree consisting of Central, Broadmoor and Redemptorist this past Wednesday (1-15-14).  Central’s Jamboree format would start of in Baker Format (3 games) and then 1-game match against both Broadmoor and Redemptorist with Total Pins determining the winner.

In the unique Baker Format (5 bowlers bowling 2 frames each to combine for a full game), Central came out on fire and set the tone for the entire Jamboree.  Central would light up the score board with a 194, near perfect 279 and a 181 for a 654 series.  But that was only the beginning.  In the first 1-game match against Broadmoor (2013 Final Four Finalist), Central would easily defeat (1099-951) the Bucs behind Jacob Garretson’s (Junior) perfect 300!  Garretson is the first Wildcat to ever roll a 300 in any LHSAA bowling event.  In the second 1-game match against Redemptorist, the Wildcats gave Garretson a little more support and crushed the Wolves 1234-700.  The 1234 game would be the highest game Central has ever rolled in the school’s history.  Once again Garretson led the way with a 233, followed by Parker Aucoin (Freshman) with a 226, Dylan Ringo’s (Freshman) 215, Kevin Kennedy’s (Senior) 195 and Bryce Delaune’s (Freshman) 194.

Overall, Central won the Jamboree with a Total Pinfall of 2987 to Broadmoor’s 2245 and Redemptorist’s 1870.  The Central Boy’s are arguably the most talented team Central has ever fielded, even topping last year’s undefeated District Champion team.  Central’s quest for a second straight District Title starts on January 22nd (Wednesday) against rival Catholic High at All Star Lanes at 3:15PM.  Come support your Wildcats!
