Kenneth and Carolyn Lee Celebrate 60th Anniversary

    Kenneth and Carolyn Lee celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends at the home of daughter Donna Brown on Saturday, August 31. 
    The Lees were married on August 30, 1953 at First Baptist Church in New Iberia, LA.  She is the former Carolyn Jane Schriber.
    The honorees have 3 daughters, Sharon Lee Baker of River Ridge, LA; Donna Lee Brown, wife of Tommy Michael Brown of Central; and Barbara (Bobbi) Lee DeBlieux, wife of Alvin DeBlieux of Modesto, CA; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
    Kenneth is a retired Industrial Arts teacher from Istrouma High School.  Carolyn was a secretary at several churches and schools in Baton Rouge.   After retirement, the couple worked for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers for 15 seasons (from 4 months to 1 year in length) operating campgrounds in Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.  The Lees have lived in Central since 1998.
