National Read a Book Day Readathon
Celebrate National Read a Book Day (September 6) at the Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch at from 4 until 6 p.m. Thursday, September 6. Children ages 4-11 are invited to help promote literacy by reading in the Library’s Readathon! Get a fun incentive based on the number of minutes read.
Fall Paper Leaf Wreath Story/Craft
Come hear a reading of Peppa’s Windy Fall Day adapted by Barbara Winthrop at the Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 15. Later, children ages 3-6 will color and glue paper leaves to create a fall wreath craft!
Funny Animals Story/Craft
This is a program for children who are in wheelchairs. Kids ages 7-11 can come to the Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 22, for a special story time and craft program! You’ll hear a reading of Curious George Joins the Team by Margaret & H.A. Rey, and Hello Goodbye Dog by Maria Gianferrari. After the stories, each child will color, cut and paste a stick puppet dog and monkey craft. To register, call (225) 274-4460.
