Parade Grand Marshall Bill McLin

By  |
MclinBThe Grand Marshall for Central’s 2017 Christmas parade has a life-long history of service to others. Bill McLin served in the USMC from 1960 to 1966, and served four years as the president of the Central High Athletic Backers. Bill has also served others, literally, by using his considerable cooking skills in supporting recovery efforts after hurricanes Ivan, Rita, and Harvey.
Bill has spent much time and energy continuing in service as a mainstay of the Cooking in Central organization, benefiting schools, veterans, and disaster victims through Central’s annual Cooking-Off. Bill loves fishing, hunting, and gardening, but loves family most of all. It is Central’s honor to recognize Bill McLin in this year’s parade as a model of leadership in service to others.
