CCSS Public Hearing & School Board Meeting Tonight

The School Board will meet on Monday, June 12, 2017 in the Meeting Room of the Central Administrative Office, located at 10510 Joor Road, Suite 300, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The agenda is listed below.
 

At 5:45 p.m., before the school board meeting, there will be a public hearing to discuss revised 2016-2017 budgets, as well as the tentative general fund budget for 2017-2018.

5. To consider approval of the minutes from the Regular School Board Meeting held on Monday, May 22, 2017 and take appropriate action.
6. To consider approval of the minutes from the Special School Board Meeting held on Monday, June 5, 2017 and take appropriate action.
7. To consider approval of the format of administrator contracts to be issued and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)
8. To consider the Superintendent's Report of administrative, instructional and support staff positions. (Mr. Faulk)
9. To receive a report from the Facilities/Equipment Committee Meeting held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 and take appropriate action regarding the following:
a. Permission to draw up specifications to advertise for bids to purchase Modular Wings of classrooms to provide 14 classrooms and restrooms at Bellingrath Hills Elementary at a cost of approximately $700,000.
b. Restructure front office area at Central High School at a cost of approximately $50,000.
c. Address roofing needs per the roofing assessment conducted this year at a cost of approximately $250,000.
d. Obtain an appraisal of the Old Central Middle School property at the corner of Sullivan Rd and Hooper Rd at an estimated cost of $7,000.
e. Repair driveways and evaluate and enhance drainage where necessary at various schools at an estimated cost of $150,000.
f. Relocate Virtual School Program to Administrative Office area on Joor Rd at an estimated cost of $100,000.
g. Provide additional limestone area for more parking at Wildcat Stadium at an estimated cost of $70,000 to be funded from bond proceeds.
10. To receive a report from the Finance Committee Meeting held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and take appropriate action regarding the following:
a. Revised 2016-2017 General Fund Budget
b. Revised 2016-2017 Child Nutrition Budget
c. Revised 2016-2017 State Grants
d. Revised 2016-2017 Federal Grants
e. Tentative 2017-2018 General Fund Budget
11. To consider adjusting the schedule of board meetings for the month of July. (Mr. Faulk)
12. To consider a 1st Reading of the following Revised Policies of the Central Community School System Policy Manual:
a. Policy D-7.4 – Purchasing
b. Policy D-7.4a – Bids and Quotations
