Comprehensive Drainage Plan Delayed

By  |

The comprehensive drainage improvement plan promised by Mayor Shelton since 2014 has been delayed again. The Request for Qualifications for a firm to draft the comprehensive plan was approved by the City Council to be published on April 17th, and the bids were to be opened last week. As of today, no proposals have been solicited or received.
When contacted by Central Speaks, Mayor Shelton’s office stated that the RFQ would be completed by May 5th, but as of today there has been no advertisement to locate an engineering firm to draft the plan. Once the advertisement is published, a firm could be selected and the work begun in approximately 30 days.
