By  |

Central Speaks mistakenly printed the incorrect information for the GSYR Rodeo in the April 13 paper.  The CORRECT information is printed below.  Our apologies for the mistake.

Version 2    The Greenwell Springs Youth Riders would like to honor and dedicate our 59th Annual Rodeo to the fallen law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in the recent months, BR CITY POLICE Officers Montrell Jackson, Matthew Gerald and EBRSO OFFICERS Brad Garafola and Shawn Anderson.  In honor of these law enforcement heroes, the Greenwell Springs Youth Riders will present a special flag presentation to open our 59th Annual Rodeo. We would also like  to honor and invite all of local law enforcement officers and their immediate family to attend our rodeo free of charge, upon presentation of their badge or commission.  The Greenwell Springs Youth Riders back the blue and appreciate the sacrifice and dedication of these fine men and women who keep our community safe.  Please join us this May 5th &  6th,  2017 to help us honor our fallen law enforcement heroes along with their brothers and sisters who still walk the thin blue line. The GSYR Rodeo at The Shady Park Arena, in Central, begins at 8:00 PM with pre-rodeo events, Mutton Busting and Needle In the Haystack, starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students to age 17, and Free for ages 5 and under. For more information please visit our website gsyr.webs.com.
