Development on Wax Road Denied

By  |

More than 100 citizens turned out for Tuesday’s City Council vote on a controversial 175-house development across Wax Road from Central High School. After hearing several dozen speakers both for and against the development, the Council voted 3-2 not to allow it. Council Member Ellis voted no solely because the proposed rezoning was not in keeping with Central’s Master Plan, while Council Members Fralick and Vance cited the high density as their reasons for voting no.
