Baton Rouge Community College Central Campus hosted a special event for its students on Friday, November 11.  Instructors from other BRCC campuses at Port Allen, West Side in Plaquemine, and New Roads joined employees from Dow (including a BRCC graduate)  to give students a 12 hour experience of what it is truly like to work on a unit in a chemical plant.  Todd Lindrew from Thermal & Process Sales, Inc. gave a presentation on heat transfer equipment during the "Lunch and Learn".  Instruction in the areas of Process Operations, Non-destructive Testing and Instrumentation were provided, enabling students to become aware of the different fields involved in running a unit.  BRCC will be moving its Non-Destructive Testing courses from Port Allen to Central next spring, broadening again its offerings.
