Flood 2016

Schools Still Need Help

By  |

When considering how you can help with rebuilding our city, please remember our schools which were affected by the flooding.
St. Alphonsus Catholic School, though flooded, has since reopened its doors and is functional again.  They have set up a fund at Whitney Bank to help students whose homes were flooded.  Donations may be made to "St. Alphonsus School Relief" and mailed or dropped off to the school at 13940 Greenwell Springs Rd., 70739.
Central Private School continues to meet on 3 campuses.  CP has an account established in their business office for flood relief.  Checks can be made out to Central Private School and marked "Flood Relief" on the item line.  They can be dropped off or mailed to 12801 Centerra Court, 70714.  The Bank of Zachary has also established a "Go Fund Me" account for the school.
Victory Academy received three to four feet of water throughout its entire campus.  They have set up a website for donations: RebuildVictoryAcademy.org.  Many of their teachers have created Amazon wish list sites.
Tanglewood Elementary School is still holding classes at Central Intermediate School.  There is a GoFundMe fundraising account for Tanglewood at: https://www.gofundme.com/ccssfloodrecovery
