Registrar of Voters Announces Voter Registration Deadline

    East Baton Rouge Parish Registrar of Voters Steve Raborn is reminding citizens who need to register to vote or update their registration that Tuesday, October 11th is the last day to register to vote for the upcoming presidential election to be held November 8th.  
Voter registration applications may be submitted online at www.GeauxVote.com or in person at any of the three Registrar of Voters office locations in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Main Office:       City Hall – 222 Saint Louis St. – Room 201
Southeast:           Fire Station Building – 11010 Coursey Blvd.
Baker:                Motor Vehicle Building – 2250 Main Street, Baker
    Regular office hours are 8:00 am until 4:30 pm on weekdays, but all East Baton Rouge Registrar of Voters locations will remain open until 7:00 pm on Monday, October 10th and Tuesday, October 11th.
    The Registrar of Voters branch office on Coursey Blvd. recently moved from the Court Plaza Building down the street to the Fire Station Building located at 11010 Coursey Blvd.
    Voter registration applications may also be printed from the GeauxVote website and submitted by mail.  Applications returned by mail must be received or postmarked by the October 11th deadline.
    Applicants registering to vote in person should bring valid identification that establishes identity, age, and residency.  You must submit your current Louisiana driver’s license, if you have one, or your birth certificate or other documentation which reasonably and sufficiently establishes your identity, age, and residency.  If you do not have a photo ID, you may bring a utility bill, payroll check, or government document that includes your name and address.  
    Early Voting will be held October 25th through November 1st at all Registrar of Voters locations and at the Louisiana State Archives Building.
