Central Continues Support of Law Enforcement

By  |
Several Central businesses are continuing to reach out to Law Enforcement Officers with fundraisers and other events.  The Looking Glass Beauty Lounge on Hooper Road held a fundraiser where clients who donated to were able to pick a badge that revealed a percentage off of products and services.  They were able to raise $500 for East Baton Rouge First Responders.  Central Cleaners for the last two weeks has provided free uniform dry cleaning for  law enforcement and firefighters as a sign of their appreciation and support.  According to owner James Owen they've had a great response.

Central City Crossfit will be co-hosting a fundraiser with other Baton Rouge businesses at Pat's Home Center, 9835 Sullivan Road on August 14.  The event will feature weight lifting competitions, an air assault bike challenge, activities for kids, a silent auction and prizes.  Funds will go to the BRUP Fallen Heroes Fund.  Registration is $35 including a t-shirt and begins at 10 am.  For more information, go to the Blue Movement 2016 facebook page.  Thank you to all these great businesses who support our LEO's!
