Nicole Joraanstad Plays in U.S. National Women’s Curling Championship

    Nicole Joraanstad, daughter of Central residents Gary and Debra Joraanstad, played second on the team that won the U.S. Women’s Curling Nationals this past weekend.  Nicole had the best shooting percentage of any of the seconds at the Nationals with an 89.7%.
    This is Joraanstad’s tenth national championships including two junior nationals.  As U.S. champions, the team will compete in Swift Current, Saskatchewan for the World Women’s Curling Championship March 19-27.  Joraanstad also played in the 2010 Winter Olympics and World Championships in 2014, 2012, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2004, 2002, 2001 (juniors) and 2000 (juniors).
