January is National Blood Donor Month; Blood Drive to be held at Lane Regional Medical Center January 29

From Lane RMC
Lane Regional Medical Center and United Blood Services will hold a blood drive on Friday, January 29, from 7:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., in the hospital’s Staff Development Classroom.
Blood is traditionally in short supply during the winter months due to the holidays, travel schedules, inclement weather, and illness.  January, in particular, is a difficult month for blood centers to collect blood donations.  A reduction in turnout can put our nation’s blood inventory at a critical low.  January has been designated as National Blood Donor Month to encourage donors to give blood.
The blood drive is free and open to the public.  Appointments are not required, but donors are encouraged to sign up online at www.UnitedBloodServices.org – Code:  LaneRegional
Please note: United Blood Services is the sole provider of blood to Lane Regional Medical Center, so your donation will directly benefit Lane and the communities we serve.
