Wildcats Fall to Comets

    Central High’s football team traveled to LaPlace last Friday and ran into a powerhouse St. Charles team who had outscored opponents 108 to 7 in posting a 3-0 start to the season.  Central kept the game close at 14-14 until late in the third quarter, but fell victim to a final score of 56-20.
    Highlights of the game for Central were two early scoring throws from Gabe Brown to Trenton Guay.  Guay racked up 159 yards on four catches and Brown threw for a season-high 245 yards.  Xavier Lews added to his strong rushing performances with 99 yards on 16 carries.  Andrew Harris led the defense, with eight tackles and three assists, with Edgar Janise adding four tackles and 5 assists.
