Though Saturday’s meet was already the third meet of the year, it also marked the midway point of the swim season.  With a month left until the City Meet, the Central swim team moves from it outdoor practice home at Berean Ministries to its indoor practice home at PARD Aquatic Center.
The swimmers and coaches look forward to practice at a competition pool to work on technical improvements to further drop times.  At the meet, Kaelyn Hollier, Emily Shain, Olivia Will, Brooke Demoulin, Jana Schuld, Acacia Porch, Emily Hollier, and Tejah Scott cut 1-2 seconds off their 50 freestyle times.   On the boys side, Jaylon Francois dropped 5 seconds while Landon Turner and Ikaika Lee dropped a second each of their 50 freestyle times.
Matthew Usher qualified for the state meet in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:15.35.  That time was good enough for 7th in the event.  Meanwhile, Geremy Porch finished 10th in the 100 freestyle.
Central’s last regular season meet will be October 17.
