IMG_9496B small        Central is marking its ten year anniversary!  This Saturday, July 11 will be exactly ten years since Central first became its own city, and there will be a community-wide celebration in honor of it.  Central officials are partnering with BREC to throw a family fun day beginning with activities for all ages and ending with a concert and fireworks.
Join your neighbors at BREC Lovett Road Park this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for family activities like water slides, face painting, and the Filthy Factor Fun Run (dress accordingly).  There will even be a zip line and fun competitions throughout the event, including a hot dog eating contest at noon.  Everything will be free except the concessions, which will be sold by food truck vendors.  In the evening, bring your lawn chairs or blankets to Wildcat Stadium at Hooper and Sullivan for a free concert by Burnhouse and a fireworks show.
Thank you to everyone who has made the first ten years as a city a success, and we look forward to the next ten!
