Rivers King Signs Letter of Intent With UMO

LacrosseB    Central High School is proud to announce that Rivers King is the first student in their school history to receive an athletic scholarship to play college lacrosse.  Rivers (6’-1”, 167 lbs) signed his letter of intent on April 17, 2015 to play lacrosse for the University of Mount Olive Trojans, which is located in Mount Olive, North Carolina.  
    UMO is a Division II university and the men’s lacrosse team is currently ranked #15 in the nation.  Rivers also considered Clarke University, Westminster College, Greensboro College, Louisiana State University, and ULL before finally selecting UMO, where he plans to pursue a degree in history and education so he can become a high school teacher and lacrosse coach.
    As a senior, Rivers made the 2015 Louisiana High School Lacrosse League All District Team, for their Central Division, he also played two summers with the Red Stick tournament team, and he represented Team Louisiana at the 2014 IMG Nationals in Bradenton, FL., which took 2nd place in the U19 division.
