The Central Chamber Report: Small Business of the Year – Smooch My Pooch!

    On Thursday, February 26 the Central Chamber of Commerce held the 5th annual Central Chamber Awards Banquet.  The evening was eventful and memorable.  Over the next few weeks we will highlight the award winners of the various categories.  This week we are highlighting the Small Business of the Year for 2014 – Smooch My Pooch.
    Smooch My Pooch has been a Chamber member since 2007.  Birthed out of an inspiration from a business that started in a van, this business has steadily been expanding.  This business owner truly has a creative mind for business.  For the last 8 years this business has been bathing, clipping, and boarding its way into success! They have experienced so much success that they recently just moved forward with a project to construct their own building in which to house and expand their operation.  It’s business owners like this that take a chance, work hard to establish themselves, experience success, and are willing to turn around and make an economic investment back into our community that help to create a strong commerce community.  What also makes Shauna stand out is despite her busy schedule, she is willing to donate her time to help with chamber activities.  It is an honor and a privilege to declare Smooch My Pooch the winner of the 2014 Small Business of the Year Award!  Congratulations Smooch My Pooch and owner Shauna Nicosia!
