The Central Chamber Report

    If you don’t tell your own story no one else will!  I often encourage people to brag about The City of Central any chance they get.  We have a great city government, fantastic schools, hardworking businesses, faithful churches, several nonprofit groups and supportive citizens!  
    I want to take a moment to brag about a group that makes the support of the commerce community possible, the Central Chamber’s Board of Directors.  We recently held our 2014 – 2015 Strategic plan review.  2014 was a successful year!  We added relevant committees, held training seminars, took many events to a new level of success, stimulated revenue, increased staff’s expertise, provided several networking events and brought in a diverse array of speakers.
    Thanks goes out to Mayor Shelton for coming to our Investors’ meeting in January and installing our Officers and Board for 2015.  Serving will be: Stephen David(Chair), Michael Loolara(Vice Chair Elect), Heidi Wendt(2nd Vice Chair), Kevin Rogers(Treasurer), Wayne Leader(Past Chair), Walton “Ti” Barnes, Brockwell Bone, Reda Cockerham ,  Si Kora, John Kovalcik, Tim Lazaroe,  Michelle Lewis, Aaron Moak, Tommie Morden, Lucky Ross and Russell Starns.  Congratulations to these Board Members as they lead us through 2015, our 10th Anniversary Year!
