Deerford United Methodist Assists Food Bank

Two members of Deerford United Methodist Church, Hwy. 64 at Blackwater Rd., delivered a donation to the Zachary Food Pantry on January 13. Shown here (from left), church members Charles Dupont and Peggy Lipscomb and church pastor, the Rev. Susie Thomas, give a check for $200 to the Pantry’s bookkeeper, Myra Ford. Funds for the donation were collected at Deerford UMC’s Christmas Eve service. Members at the church volunteer at the Food Pantry, and the church collects non-perishable food items for the area’s needy residents.
