The Central Chamber of Commerce C4 Report: Shop Small Business Success!

    The Central Chamber’s Second Annual Holiday “Shop Small Business” campaign was a tremendous success!  This year’s event was held from November 29 – December 14.  
    Holiday Shopping Cards were available at each participating merchant and were distributed to the students at the various Central Schools.  As the cards were used up, they were turned in at the participating merchants and became eligible for one of three grand prizes which were drawn on Monday December 15th.   
Just a Few Facts
• We had 221 completed cards which represents a total of $66,300 spent in Central in 2 weeks! This amount doesn’t include cards that didn’t get turned in or were partially filled out!
• $2750 in prize money was awarded, which will also be spent in Central!
• The winners: $1500 shopping spree – Ailene Dykes; $750 Shopping Spree – Staci Buckley; $500 Shopping Spree – Carla Murray. Congratulations!

• Thank you to our Chamber Board for allowing me to take this idea and “run with it,” even though it took me away from my “regular” work.
