Mitch and Carolyn Carter Celebrate 50th Anniversary

    Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Carter were honored on November 22, 2014, for their 50th Wedding Anniversary at their home.  The party was hosted by their children and their spouses. Shane and Noel Carter, West Monroe, La.,  Michell Carter Stone and Jason Stone, Central, La., and Jason and Jeannie Carter, Greenwell Springs, La..  Also in attendance were the couple's grandchildren, Rikki, Chase, Hance, Jesse, Hayden, Hadly, and close friends Raven and Dawson.
    Mitch and Carolyn Ann (Reasoner) Carter were married in Baton Rouge, La. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on November 14, 1964 followed by a reception at the Bellemont  Hotel. 
    Their cake table had a display of wedding and honeymoon mementos and pictures. As the children and grandchildren viewed the display, they found that times have surely changed in 50 years. Mitch and Carolyn enjoy spending time and cooking outdoors for the family, gardening, boating, and traveling. A deep rooted faith in Our Lord has had a guiding hand in their lives. 
    Their successful marriage has been based on realizing that the two of you are a team. The team works together through all situations. Express love to each other, you are individuals, and most of all be a help mate to your spouse.
