In Memoriam: Cody Jonathan D’Amico

Cody Jonathan D'Amico was a student at ITT and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Central.  Cody passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was 29.  

Visiting will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd on Wednesday October 8, 2014 from 5pm till 9pm.  Visiting continues at the funeral home on Thursday October 9, 2014 from 9am until service time at 10am conducted by Steve Johnson. Entombment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.  

Cody is survived by his parents Brad A. and Darlene Darbonne D’Amico, sister Ariel M. D’Amico,  grandparents Daniel “Skip” D’Amico and wife Shirley D’Amico, Margaret LaFleur, and Luke and wife Nettie Darbonne.  Uncles Danny D’Amico, Scot and wife Missy Darbonne, Shane Darbonne, aunts Marie D’Amico, Sonya Zimmer, cousins Jason DeBenedetto, Rocco DeBenedetto and wife Michelle and children Little Rocco and Lindsly, Gabby Maggio, Cameron Harley, Godmother Arlene Dupree. Cody was preceded in death by his brother Talor J. D’Amico, grandmother Dot D’Amico, cousin Madison Maggio, uncle Rick Temple, great-grandparents Sam and Marie D’Amico, Joseph and Odette Lindsly, Rodney and Camie LaFleur, and Alduce and Olinar Darbonne, and Mr. John Zimmer. Pallbearers will be Jason and Rocco DeBenedetto, Brett Owens, Chris Fontenot, Matt Desselle, Jacques Dupree, Cameron Harley, Brandon “Smokey” Johnson and Arlene Dupree.  

Cody was a 2003 graduate of Central High School, and was an avid LSU fan. Everyone who knew him knew of his “unique personality and way of life”. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
