An alarm for a house fire in Tanglewood subdivision signaled a busy end to Labor Day 2014 for Central Fire Fighters.  The first alarm assignment was dispatched at 8:13 pm Monday night, sending Central, District Six and East Side Fire Departments to the 9500 block of Rustling Oaks.

Central Firefighters were greeted by flames blowing out of a front bedroom window and spreading into the attic. While the fire was controlled within minutes to the bed room where it started, significant damage resulted throughout the rest of the home from heat and smoke.

The Red Cross is assisting the home's displaced occupants, and the cause of the fire is undetermined.
