Wildcat Basketball in Playoffs This Friday

The Central High School boys' basketball team has been quietly flying under the radar, all the while winning games against good competition. The Wildcats finished the regular season at 17-8 and finished 2nd in district 4-5a with record 10-2. Since the beginning of the new year, the Wildcats have won 12 of 14 games with the only 2 losses coming to 2-time state champion and number 1 ranked Scotlandville with both games being close at the end. The Wildcats finished the season on a 7 game win streak with the average win being 10 points. The Wildcats enter the state play-offs as the #23 seed and play #10 East Ascension at East Ascension on Friday at 7 PM.
