January Permit Report

    During the month of January 2014 in the city of Central, a total of 11 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $2,536,214.  
    Within these January  permits, two were issued in Burlington Lakes with an average valuation of $170,162; two in Twin Lakes Estates with an average valuation of $183,384; one on Lovett Rd with a valuation of $382,312; four in Village Lakes with an average valuation of $241,223; one on McCullough Rd valued at $256,638; and one in Bellingrath Estates on Keystone Ave valued at $225,278.
    Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.
    On the commercial side, a permit was applied for a 2,910 addition for Friendship Baptist Church on Comite Drive.
