Clerk of Court Doug Welborn Announces Qualifying for Central Elections

    Clerk of Court Doug Welborn has announced that his office will be qualifying candidates for the April 5, 2014election for City of Central municipal races.  Qualifying for the City of Central’s Mayor, Police Chief and Council Members will be held beginning at 8:00 a.m. and lasting until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th; Thursday, February 13th and Friday, February 14th

    Qualifying will be held at the Clerk of Court’s downtown office in Room 179 of the City Hall building and at the Coursey Branch office at 10500 Coursey Boulevard on all three days from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. 

    Additionally, Clerk of Court staff will be available to qualify candidates at the Central City Hall, 13421 Hooper Road, Suite 9 on Wednesday, February 12th from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on the first day of qualifying.

     “We will be on hand in Central for the opening day of qualifying,” Welborn said. “Candidates from the northern cities in our parish have always appreciated the convenience of local qualifying and we are pleased to continue to offer this service for their elections.”
